i didn’t realize how much of an effect Walter Mercado had on my upbringing until i watched Mucho Mucho Amor on Netflix. what a light of a human this man was. he broke down so many barriers with positivity, humility, vulnerability, & love. but he was a true fellow Pisces who let the good he saw in people overshadow the true malice in their motives. despite it all he loved & shined. i hope he is resting in peace & still shining down on all the people he touched, like this chubby little queer boricua pre-teen who saw herself in his extravagant, fabulous, celestial being. i hope in my life i can touch a fraction of the souls he did. i am going to try to live my life as he wanted: con “mucho paz, pero sobre todo mucho, mucho amorrr!” ✨🔮
